What this word cloud generator does
Most word cloud tools start with a block of text. You paste it in, and the tool draws the most frequent words. This one works the other way around. You ask a question, and the cloud is built from what a group of people actually answer, in real time.
That makes it useful in a room or on a call. A teacher can ask what students already know about a topic. A manager can ask a team for one word about the quarter. A conference host can open a talk by asking where the audience is coming from. The shared picture appears while everyone is still in the room, which is the point.
Words are sized by how often they are submitted, so agreement shows up immediately. If twelve people type the same word, it is hard to miss. Single answers stay small but visible, which is often where the interesting outliers are.
What it does not do
To save you a click if you need something else: there is no image export, no custom shapes like a heart or a logo, no font or color themes, and no paste-your-text mode. The cloud is a clean frequency-sized layout built for a projector. If you need a polished static graphic from a document, use a text-based generator for that and use this one when you want a live audience to create the cloud.
How it works
Get started in minutes
Create a session and pick the word cloud question type
Open the creator, give your session a title, then add a question and choose Word cloud. Write the prompt, for example 'One word that describes how this week went'.
Share the join link or QR code
Send the link in chat, or put the QR code on a slide. Participants join from their own phone or laptop with no app and no account.
Watch the cloud build live
Everyone submits a word or short phrase. Your host console shows responses straight away. Reveal results, open the display view on your projector, and the cloud appears with the most common answers largest, updating as responses come in.
Perfect for every team
One tool for standups, classrooms, Q&A, and more
Classrooms
Warm up a lesson by asking what students already know, or close it by asking for one takeaway. Short answers keep it fast.
Team meetings
Run a quick pulse check at the start of a retro or all-hands. One word per person is easy to answer and easy to read.
Conferences and talks
Open a session by asking the audience a question and show the result on the big screen before you start.
Workshops and brainstorms
Collect first associations on a topic before the group discusses. Seeing the cloud first reduces anchoring on the loudest voice.
Training sessions
Check understanding by asking participants to describe a concept in one word, then talk through the surprises.
Icebreakers
Ask something light, like a favorite snack or a word for the weekend. A fun cloud sets the tone quickly.
