What is ShuffleTurn?
ShuffleTurn is a free tool for running live rooms: Q&A with upvoting and moderation, polls, quizzes with a leaderboard, word clouds, and fair turn order boards. The host shares a link or QR code and everyone joins from their phone with no signup. It works for classrooms, team meetings, town halls, workshops and game nights.
What can I run besides a turn order board?
Live Q&A lets people submit and upvote written questions while you approve, pin and display them. Polls support multiple choice, quiz with points and a leaderboard, rating, open text, word cloud and ranking questions. You can reveal or hide results as you go. Everything is free and needs no signup.
Do I need an account to use it?
No. Hosts and participants can use ShuffleTurn without signing up. Sign in only if you want saved sessions, collections and access from multiple devices, or if you choose to require login for your participants.
Is the randomization fair?
ShuffleTurn uses unbiased randomization to ensure a fair order every time. You can re-randomize as needed, and everyone sees updates instantly.
Can people join anonymously?
Yes. Guests can join without accounts. They appear as “Anonymous” with a count when names aren’t provided. You can still rename participants for clarity.
How does time tracking work?
Enable time tracking in board settings to display per-turn timers. Choose how time is shown and set per-turn limits to keep meetings or activities on track.
What are collections?
Collections let you organize related boards (e.g., a sprint, a class, or a recurring game night) for easy access and reuse.
What data do you store? Is my data private?
We store only what’s needed to provide the service: board content, basic usage data, and a privacy-friendly session ID for stable connections. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Does it update in real time? What if I refresh or reconnect?
ShuffleTurn uses real-time connections to keep everyone in sync. We use a stable session ID so you stay connected across refreshes and reconnections.
Which browsers and devices are supported?
ShuffleTurn works on modern browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) on desktop and mobile. For best results, use the latest version.
Can I export or delete a board?
You can copy board data or remove items directly in the app. If you need full deletion of saved data, contact support and we’ll help.
How do I change my display name?
When you join a board, you can set or update your name. Signed-in users can save a preferred name; guests can set a temporary name per board.
Is it free? Are there paid plans?
ShuffleTurn is free today, including live Q&A, polls, quizzes, word clouds and turn order boards. A paid plan is planned but not available yet. The Pricing page always shows what is free right now.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Is my data secure?
